Alternative Baby Blessing and Naming Ceremonies

The gift of life is precious. As proud parents you may wish to welcome your child into the world with a ceremony of blessing and celebration. You might also like to have your baby named. Should this be so I can work with you to create a meaningful alternative Blessing and Naming Ceremony that incorporates your own spiritual truths. An alternative Naming and Blessing Ceremony can be particularly relevant when the parents come from different faith traditions.
Such a ceremony can take place wherever you like. A summer ceremony in a garden can be beautiful although you might prefer your home, a hall , a marquee or some other venue.
Your alternative Naming and Blessing Ceremony can include music, readings, poetry, the lighting of candles and the honouring of grandparents' should there be any. You may have older children who would like to participate and they could also be blessed.
The fee of £225 includes:
- an initial meeting to enable us to begin to get to know each other
- the preparation of a draft for your approval, incorporating your choices of music, readings, poetry etc plus any special requirements
- modifications of the draft until you are completely happy with the ceremony
- conducting the ceremony on the day at the venue of your choice
